On March 5, the fifth session of the 13th National People’s Congress officially was opened in Beijing. The premier of the State Council made a report on the government work. In the field of medical and health care, the development goals for 2022 were put forward:
A.The per capita financial subsidy standard for residents’ medical insurance and basic public health services will be increased by 30 yuan and 5 yuan respectively;
B.Promoting centralized procurement of drugs and high-value medical supplies in bulk to ensure production and supply;
C.Accelerating the construction of national and provincial regional medical centers, promoting the extension of high-quality medical resources to cities and counties, and improving the ability of grass-roots disease prevention and treatment.
In 2022, the procurement of high-value consumables will continue to be promoted. Many representatives of the two sessions put forward suggestions on this topic, including the centralized collection of dental implants discussed by public.
In addition, Li Keqiang proposed in the government work report that this year, the strategy of ’innovation driven development’ will be deeply implemented and the innovation incentive of enterprises will be strengthened.
The medical and health industry is an important part of industrial innovation. In order to speed up the innovation of the medical device industry, the delegates proposed to establish a green channel for innovative products, strengthen the independent research and development of medical equipment, improve the technical review of class II medical device registration, and promote the cross administrative regional allocation of production resources by medical device enterprises.
Throughout the 2022 government work report, various medical plans will be more comprehensive and perfect, the disease prevention and control system will be scientifically strengthened, and more attention will be paid to the construction of public health system. It is believed that the development of the medical industry this year will be more rigorous, healthy, fair and orderly.
