Wego-PTFE is a PTFE suture brand manufactured by Foosin Medical Supplies from China.

Wego-PTFE suture is a monofilament non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of a strand of polytetrafluoroethylene, a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene.

Wego-PTFE is a unique biomaterial in that it is inert and chemically non-reactive. In addition, the monofilament construction prevents bacterial wicking which is associated with braided sutures.

Wego-PTFE has been shown in clinical trials to elicit minimal tissue reaction. The suture is not absorbed or subject to weakening by tissue enzymes, and does not degrade in the presence of infection.

Indications

Wego-PTFE is an excellent suture choice for dental bone grafting and implant grafting and soft tissue grafting and periodontal surgery and ridge augmentation. It’s smooth, comfortable and has little to no package memory, which results in excellent handling and knot security. Th application on aesthetic surgery is developing.

Packaging

Wego-PTFE is white and is available in USP 6-0 to 2-0. The suture is supplied sterile in precut lengths attached to various needle types in one-dozen boxes, or non-needled on ligating reels. Easy-Access design applied on the package which convenient the surgeons to take the sutures and prepare the surgery.
